How do you have so much energy?
I get asked this all the time. I did this morning (I’m editing this ready to post today...)
I’m no superhuman that’s been given any more energy than the next person....
I have a drive and dedication however to my job and to the life I lead.
I certainly don’t earn millions. If you count up all the hours I put into my “work” (talking about my classes/PT/online stuff) then I would be on less than half minimum wage... maybe less than a quarter 😂 maybe one day I will earn more but loving the process in the meantime! I enjoy this and if I didn’t I would stop. If I did this only for money I’d have given up a long time ago...!
I absolutely LOVE teaching classes, I LOVE training people and seeing/hearing online how I have positively effected their lives in some way- not just fitness wise. THIS is what gives me my energy (dedication) to what I do. It is the most amazing feeling to feel appreciated.
Another reason I am dedicated to the lifestyle I lead, to giving energy into my own training is because when I am up taking a class or instructing someone I want to look the part! I want to be able to be the most energetic there because I am there to motivate others! I also want classes to run smoothly, therefore I need to practice A LOT! And you can definitely tell when I’ve not been practicing 🤷♀️
I thrive off the endorphins exercise gives me. I thrive off the energy and the buzz I get and then it transfers into my happiness with my kids, family and friends. Although I’ve curbed my crazy addiction to exercise (from massively overdoing it!) I still definitely exercise more than most “normal” people because I don’t work my other job at the moment so have time. It’s also my part time job and I join in classes every time I take one.
I’ll let you into a secret.
I don’t have loads of energy.
Some days I really don’t want to get out of bed at 5.30am every day 😎 (Finley’s fault and roll on Ash coming home because I can’t wait to get a little lie in- IF my body clock allows it!!).
Some days I am TIRED... and completely unmotivated...my body is saying nooo. Yes, I’ve learnt to listen more to my body more lately, I now structure my week so that I give up my own fitness in order to have more energy for my classes. Even so, some days I am emotionally or physically tired. BUT I am DEDICATED. I make sure that no matter what, I can put the energy I have into the classes I run and into my little baby online business.
I’m here to motivate others.
That gives me just that little extra energy....
Which is actually dedication 😀
And I am definitely more dedicated to my classes than my hair 🤷♀️😎
