Motivation comes in all forms. Personally my motivation has shifted these past few months... I’ve learnt and been open minded to a lot of things. Like I said in an earlier post, I learn all the time and no one is perfect. We need to be open minded to learning. No one is perfect, and sometimes we make mistakes along the way.
My biggest motivation is my kids. I want to be around for as long as possible to see them grow up, see them grow into adults and see how their life pans out. I want to be as healthy as possible for that to happen. As alert as possible, as fit as possible to share that journey with them (when they want me there!).
My motivation has shifted from “asthetics” to more of a functional body, a healthy body. I openly admit yes I get carried away with aesthetics sometimes when actually, come away form that and focus on strength, mobility of joints, flexibility around the joints, the ability to perform movements without any niggles... and aesthetics will take care of itself.
I am LOVING this journey, so grateful for the people around me who are helping with it too. For their knowledge and their positive influence! For Instagram and FB accounts of people I follow (complete strangers), so inspiring!! @beardthebestyoucanbe @martinnutrition @thefitnesschef_ @ourfitfamilylife to name a few. Massively positive influencers of health, nutrition and amazing exercise to help our bodies work to their full potential.
Follow them, and follow me if you’re interested in my journey too. Coming back from awful back pain, trying to reduce my training to quality sessions rather than completely kicking the arse out of it. Learning more so that I in turn can help others too.
